1. Tell us about the job
We begin with the postcode where the work is needed. Then we ask a short set of questions about the type of plumbing work, what is happening, when you would like it done and your approximate budget.
Clear details help a plumber understand whether the job is suitable before getting in touch. You do not need to diagnose the fault yourself. Describe what you can see, hear or smell, when it started and anything you have already tried.
2. We look for plumbers
Once you review and submit the form, your job details are passed to our plumbing-quote partner so they can look for suitable tradespeople who cover your area. Availability depends on the job, location and the tradespeople active at that time, so we cannot promise that three people will respond.
Your contact details are collected only near the end of the journey. Before submitting, you will see a clear summary of what will be shared and who may contact you.
3. Compare and choose
Up to three tradespeople may contact you to discuss the job and provide a quote. Ask each person to confirm what is included, whether VAT and materials are covered, when the work could start and how long the price remains valid.
PlumbAgent does not choose a plumber for you and does not carry out the work. Check the trader’s identity, relevant qualifications, insurance and written terms before agreeing to proceed. There is no obligation to accept a quote.
An important safety note
PlumbAgent is not an emergency service. If you smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide, leave the normal quote journey and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. If water is close to electrical fittings, do not touch wet equipment; isolate the electricity only if it is safe to do so.
