Common questions

Will I definitely receive three quotes?

No. Up to three tradespeople may respond, but availability depends on the job, location and people active at the time.

Does PlumbAgent employ the plumbers?

No. We are an introduction service. A tradesperson is independent and any contract for work is directly between you and them.

Do I have to accept a quote?

No. The service is free to use and there is no obligation to hire anyone.

Can I use the form for an emergency?

No. If water is escaping and you need someone to attend now, contact a plumber directly and check when they can arrive.

If you smell gas, avoid flames and electrical switches. Call from outside: 0800 111 999 in England, Scotland or Wales, or 0800 002 001 in Northern Ireland.

If you suspect carbon monoxide poisoning, go outside and get medical help immediately. Call 999 if anyone is seriously unwell, having difficulty breathing, confused or unconscious. Read the gas and carbon-monoxide emergency advice. Do not use the quote form for an emergency.
